Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter

Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter spoke this evening in Halifax to a full house. He delivered a message of hope and belief in one's self even in the face of almost unsurmountable odds.

While serving 20 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, he wrote The Sixteenth Round which later became a Hollywood blockbuster starring Denzel Washington: The Hurricane.
